Louisiana Coastal Preservation Foundation

“A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit.” –Greek Proverb

This is the motto we live by.

The Louisiana Coastal Preservation Foundation is a registered 501( c )(3) private foundation that was established in August of 2022. Our goal is to preserve and restore coastal regions, primarily in St. Bernard Parish. The foundation does so primarily by acquiring title to coastal lands which are then actively managed and restored. In addition, the foundation provides management services to private landowners.

The foundation raises money by leasing surface rights for responsible hunting and harvesting. The foundation also raises money by managing the land of other large private coastal landowners.

All funds generated by the foundation are used for preservation and restoration efforts. Restoration efforts include clearing land of invasive, non-native species such as Chinese Tallow and re-planting and re-seeding native species.
